How it works

In a bespoke order you get to decide all the fixings from scratch.

You make your selections based on the options listed below. I special order any leather I don't have in-house after we've agreed on a combination. Then I get to work.

Send a message to farand@sharpsideleather.com or use the contact form to get the process started.

    • the design
    • the leather
    • the lining
    • the thread
    • any monograming
    • gold foil stamping or clean
  • You can request:

Any wallet or item you can think up. You can present a design I don't have in the store and if I can re-create it, I will!

If you only want to alter a few things, like thread color, I can do that at a lower cost.

  • Carlo

My personal favorite, the textured Carlo leather is full of rich, natural oils. This leather has a vivid pull-up. The color sits deep and reveals itself more with use as the oils reach the surface. It also develops a slight shine over time, building a very unique patina. • Available colors: Natural, Black, Grey, Cognac, Walnut, Tobacco, Dark Brown, Red, Yellow, Olive, Navy, Violet, Bordeaux
  • Minerva

Minerva is a soft vacchetta leather infused with a special blend of Italian fat wax, giving it that sought-after soft hand feel. This leather has a smooth grain with a beautiful depth to the patina it develops. (Color reference provided during selection)

    • Available colors: Natural, Black, Grey, Cognac, Walnut, Tobacco, Dark Brown, Red, Yellow, Emerald, Navy, Violet, Bordeaux
  • Box

The Box leather is the same exact leather as Minerva, but with a textured surface. The surface has a pebbled texture but retains its soft and smooth feel to touch. This leather adds great contrast to any item. I like to use it as a lining inside pockets, but works well as a surface leather also. (Color reference provided during selection)

    • Available colors: Natural, Black, Grey, Cognac, Walnut, Tobacco, Dark Brown, Red, Yellow, Emerald, Navy, Violet, Bordeaux
  • Pueblo

Pueblo is another popular textured leather. It has a medium-soft firmness and a rustic patterning throughout. The surface starts off a touch matte and develops a glossy coat, quickly creating an amazing change in both color and feel. A great option for all projects. • Available colors: Natural, Black, Grey, Cognac, Walnut, Tobacco, Dark Brown, Red, Yellow, Olive, Navy, Violet, Bordeaux
  • Buttero

Buttero is a highly popular medium-firm leather with a smooth, even texture. It's known for its very rich and deep color palettes that patina slow and subtle. It starts off firm, but softens eventually until it gets as smooth as butter. (Color reference provided during selection)

    • Available colors: Natural, Black, Taupe, Whiskey, Walnut, Mahogany, Red, Yellow, Olive, Blue, Violet, Bordeaux
  • Nemesis

Nemesis is a soft leather that comes in only one color. It has a pebbled surface texture but is still soft to the touch, with a natural shine that continues to develop with time. Its pattern style is different with each hide, making every wallet a unique piece.

    Available colors: Walnut

  • Shell Cordovan

Cordovan is a rare, highly sought after leather you can only find in equine hides. It's known for its unmatched durability, patina, and flexibility—not to mention its special shine. Shell Cordovan orders come at a higher price. (Color reference provided during selection)

  • Thread

I like to use natural linen thread for its strength and durability. It’s twisted into a round structure for a nice texture, and I finish every thread with my homegrown beeswax. A wide variety of colors are available so you can match or contrast your Bespoke items.
